BUSINESS PLAN WRITING GUIDANCE & STRIKE TEAMS
Southern Aroostook Development Corporation’s primary goal is to foster business development in the region. To do this we offer free consultation to startup businesses, entrepreneurs and even existing business owners looking for ways to improve or expand their business. We work closely with Northern Maine Development Commission and the Small Business Development Center so we can be the first step in the right direction. We start by sitting down with business owners and entrepreneurs to understand their business idea. From there we provide a business plan template that asks them to answer basic questions like who their customer is and what exactly are they offering. We can assist in some of the more technical aspects and even connect the entrepreneur with leaders in a similar industry forming what we call a “Strike Team” to offer their expert advice. Once we feel like the business plan is complete and well thought out, the entrepreneur can then present that plan to a bank for funding or even apply to our Partners at NMDC for a Micro Business loan.
